When choosing an inflatable boat, the most important factor is the material. PVC and Hypalon are the two most common materials used in inflatable boat construction, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.
- PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride): Affordability, Lightweight and Ease of Repair. Best for casual boaters, recreational, calm waters, short trips, occasional and budget-conscious buyers.
- Hypalon (Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene): Durability, UV Resistance, Chemical Resistance, Flexibility and Lifespan. Best for commercial use, rescue operations, military applications, long-term use in harsh environments, such as saltwater, extreme temperatures, heavy-duty conditions, buyers willing to invest in a high-quality, long-lasting product.
